Had the gang over for my birthday last night. We watched the rifftrax of New Moon, and let me say our new(er) Bluray player is MUCH better at pausing and starting than our old cheapie dvd player!
Chase made cheese fondue for dinner and chocolate for dessert, the chocolate one was the best chocolate he’s ever made, it was soo yummy.
So it was a lot of fun 🙂
So now that my office is clean, I started on Briar Rose.
I picked up some black cotton for the corset yesterday – I’m going to do a layer of black suede on the outside, which I already have. I found a fabric for the shirt I looove. I may have to line it, I’ll have to see. Didn’t find anything for the skirt – well, I did, but it was $13 a yard and I’d be using the wrong side of it, so I didn’t want to spend that much for the wrong side. Going to check Joann’s first.
I cut out the corset tonight and got it basically put together. Happy with the shape. Later this week I’ll put the boning in and and attach the suede layer.
